South Beach Smoke
Presentation/Packaging
Though the outer packaging is the same, the deluxe kit of South Beach Smoke ecigs has undergone a serious upgrade. Like its predecessors, the background is a glossy black and the magnet flap box has some interesting graphics in luminescent colors. South Beach’s busy nightlife and leisurely attitude is well depicted in both its logo and graphics. It is not just the box that has undergone improvement, the stuff inside too has been revamped.
Battery/Responsiveness
South Beach Smoke released their brand new SuperMAX Deluxe lithium ion batteries today (Feb 21, 2012) which increases the number of puffs to 600 for the High Capacity battery, and 300-400 puffs for the Standard Capacity. This is a huge improvement, and outshines most popular e-cigarettes capacity today.
The first revamping can be seen in the performance and presentation of the battery. The battery is the same as its earlier version the KR808D- it is long lasting and charges quickly. The modifications include its ability to run on 4.2 volts against the standard 3.7 regular run and the difference is very much noticeable even without a volt meter. The performance is markedly improved compared to other mini e-cigs as well as its own predecessors. The vapor production is much better too; in fact, it even helps in improving the taste. However, considering the longer life of the battery even with heavy use (almost 4 hours) the battery turns out to be a bit wider and heavier. The new features in the battery include the red-lit crystal LED and the company logo on the side. The other standard batteries available have a plastic cap for their LEDs, which make this red-lit crystal LED unique and impressive. In addition, having put “O” (for smoke) on the side of the battery with the company logo strengthens the brand image further and gives uniqueness to the battery.
Vapor/Flavor(s)
South Beach smoke cartomizers have not undergone any major changes though the battery’s increase in power does provide some increased flavor. Considering that the vapor production of their e-cigs has always been good, the battery’s increased power only enhances it further. As for flavor, there has always been a difference compared to the other flavors in the market. At the higher voltage, the tobacco flavor tastes very real and so does their menthol, coffee and vanilla flavors. When the battery runs on a high voltage, it tends to bring out the flavor in the e-liquid better and thus the flavor is enhanced. Many users of South Beach smoke who once felt that it was a trifle bland for their tastes are bound to be impressed by the renewed strength of the flavor. The tobacco flavor especially tends to stand out in the crowd of e-cigs in the market.
Conclusion
The deluxe kit of the South Beach Smoke has taken big strides in terms of improvement especially to their battery. The 4.2x battery has been quite unheard of in this category and hence comes as a surprise to SBS fans. They also have improved the flavors in terms of taste as the production has always been great and with all this newness the kit is indeed probably the best in its category available currently in the market. Priced at just $60 it is a good value for money making transitioning from real cigarettes to e-cigs that much easier.
The Safe Cig
First Impressions
The Safe Cig comes in a clean, classy, almost minimalistic package. If a box could get away with wearing a top hat and tail coat, The Safe Cig would. The package comes from the manufacturer wrapped in shrink wrap. To me, that gave the product a professional, quality feel. Opening it, I felt as if cleanliness and quality control were both taken seriously by this manufacturer. I also appreciated the fact that The Safe Cig was so user friendly. In addition to the regular user’s manual that most e-cigarettes come with, it had a quick start guide for the true novice. It was the first thing I saw when I opened the package and it explained all the basic steps I needed to take to get The Safe Cig up and running quickly.
For professionalism, quality and looking after the beginners out there, my first rating for The Safe Cig is five out of a possible five.
Battery/Output
The batteries that came with The Safe Cig were designed to look like real cigarettes. They have the same logo as all the other accessories and also have faux rings and flecked, orange cartomizers just like the real thing. The battery life was between four and six hours. That’s a little longer than most e-cigarette batteries last. The really neat thing, however, was how responsive The Safe Cig was. Most e-cigarettes require two or three drags to prime the device before it gets all the way up to speed. With The Safe Cig, the very first pull was full and satisfying and had a nice amount of vapor. Because each puff was as good as the next, the battery life actually seemed longer than it really was.
For decent battery life and a rich, full vapor stream from the very first puff, The Safe Cig has earned another five.
Flavor
The flavors offered by The Safe Cig were just as satisfying as the vapor. The manufacturer only offers three flavors, probably so the company won’t get sued by the recipe copyright holders, but those three flavors are great. They are: Traditional, Classic Tobacco and Menthol. Some people like a lot of different flavors. It can even make them feel like they’re not really smoking at all. On the other hand, if you’re using an e-cigarette as a way to cut down on your smoking or even quit completely, the more real the experience feels, the more it will satisfy your cravings. The Safe Cig is obviously trying to closely mimic the real thing. Because the flavors were so good, I could content myself with just the three, but I couldn’t help wondering what The Safe Cig would taste like in mocha or chocolate. Yum.
I’m only going to give The Safe Cig a four in the flavor category. The flavors they have are rich and realistic, but most people, including me, would want a few more options.
Overall
Overall, The Safe Cig has earned the five points I’m awarding it. The box has a professional appearance and the product is user friendly. The battery is strong, the vapor is generous and the taste is very authentic.
Smokeless Image Volt
First Impressions
Okay, I have to come right out and say it, the first thing I noticed about the Smokeless Image e-cigarette was how ordinary the Volt Pack Kit packaging looked. It looked like something you might buy at the grocery store pharmacy aisle. I know the packaging isn’t the most important part of a product, but I do think the company could have done better. If you want people to think your product is classy, then a classy package is a good place to start.
The Basic Starter Kit fared a little better. The starter kit, which includes a rechargeable lithium battery, five filter tips, a USB port and a three month warranty, is dark, glossy black with a vivid orange streak of electricity across one corner.
Because the Volt Pack was a little disappointing, but the Starter Kit was better, I’m giving Smokeless Image a four out of five for a mixed first impression.
Battery/Output
The Smokeless Image battery comes in two versions: short use and long use. The short version, which is the one I tried, lasted a good three and a half hours. That was plenty of staying power for me. One thing I really liked was the pocket-sized charging case. About the size of a cellphone holder, it was easy to take anywhere. I just charged it ahead of time and never had to worry about getting stuck without a working battery. The case itself took about two hours to charge, while charging the batteries in it took about an hour. All the batteries are drip resistant and come in so many color combos it makes your head spin. It was almost impossible to chose.
The Smokeless Image’s vapor output was a thing of beauty. It had as much, and perhaps even more, vapor than a tobacco cigarette.
For a long-lasting battery, nifty portable charger and tons of vapor, I give Smokeless a five out of five for battery life and vapor production.
Flavor
Smokeless Image comes in nearly as many flavors as it does colors and the company goes to great lengths to describe them. On the site, the flavors aren’t just listed all in a row, instead, each one is described thoroughly. Desert Joe, for example, is compared to a Turkish cigarette while Chocolate is supposed to taste just like a cup of hot cocoa.
For giving us so many flavor choices and describing them so well, I’m awarding Smokeless another five.
Overall
Smokeless Image got off to slow start with its less than stellar packaging, but in the other categories, it more than made up the difference. For my final rating, I give Smokeless a full five out of five.
BLU Cigs Reviews
Presentation/Packaging
Blu Cigs’ new improved kit has a whole lot of additions, including the modern packaging. To avoid losing market wizardry, they have employed attractive graphics on the outer covering and done away with the magnet flap to put in a sliding-top box that everything stacks inside of neatly. The PCC or the personal charging case has been done up innovatively. The charging port for the battery has no screws; drop in the battery and close the pack and the charging begins. Another great feature is the lighting up of the pack when you open it. In fact, the personal charging case has two indicators with three lights on each side – one set is for the battery charge and the other for the PCC charge.
Speaking of innovation the Blu cigs social feature is worth mentioning – the pack flashes and vibrates when it finds either the company’s retail outlet or a Blu cig within 50 feet. What’s more – the pack is fitted with a micro USB. Once it receives Blu’s software you can store and share Facebook and Twitter, this is a toggle function so you can switch it on or off as desired.
Battery/Responsiveness
Compared to its predecessors Blu cig battery’s new version stays up longer. As big as a real cigarette in length, the battery is incredibly light. You can easily maneuver it with your fingers. Of course, being a super-mini / micro battery, it has a shorter life if compared to the bulkier counterparts. The 100-length battery is also available if users wish to purchase a battery that has an extended battery life. The responsiveness of the battery is quite quick.
Vapor/Flavor(s)
Blu cig uses the renowned Johnson Creek e-juices that are believed to be the cleanest, strictly quality controlled and the most transparent in its category. The new cartomizers of the Blu cig give out an incredible quantity of vapor and draw is also very easy. As always, they have used 100% VG (vegetable glycerin. Compared to the brand’s previous versions, the new cartomizers last longer and produce more vapor. There are no new introductions as far as flavors are concerned; the old flavors are still going strong.
Conclusion
Blu’s efforts in furthering the cause of the electronic cigarette cannot go unseen. Be it the user’s health or the pollution issue of the overall environment due to tobacco, Blu Cig seems to be thoughtful about these and other issues. They continue to use high quality products like the Johnson Creek juices and introducing improved technology in their PCC that brings together vapors. Being a mini kit the Blu Cig is an ideal product for transition period users like those who are attempting to leave the real cigarettes for the safer and healthier option of e-cigarettes. However, the pack may not be something that veteran e-cig users would go for, as it cannot provide the satisfaction that bigger e-cigs provide moslyt owing to its mini size. The kit is remarkably convenient and well performing thanks to the advanced easy to use personal charging case, the battery’s compact size and the amount of vapor that it gives out with easy drag. Veteran smokers too cannot help appreciating the discreetness, convenience and the performance of the Blu Cig.
PureCigs
Presentation / Packaging:
The PureCig’s black flip top box looks pretty and stylish. The product comes as a two-piece e-cig. The outer packaging is quite impressive in pale colors with just the company logo and branding to represent it. The box is quite compact and portable. Pure Cig has three starter packs to offer to suit different users’ budgets. For a little over fifty-two dollars, you can get their fully-equipped starter kit to begin your e-cig experience. Their deluxe kit, which costs a little over sixty-seven dollars, is ideal for heavy smokers. The starter kit has all the essentials that come with an electronic cigarette. Each starter kit of Pure cig includes a convenient carrying case, two batteries, four refill cartridges of which two are full flavors and two are lights, one USB charger for the battery, one wall adapter and of course the easily understandable user manual. All the paraphernalia fits conveniently into the carrying case. The user manual has good illustrations and is written in an easily understandable language to make it easy for anyone to learn how to use the ecigs.
Battery/Response
It runs on a 650 mili-ampere hour battery that provides 3 times more battery life than the life of the cartridge. The battery used in the Pure Cig’s latest addition to the line up the Pure XL is considerably big and gives awesome power. The battery life is three times what it was, cartridge capacity is three times higher and the in-built atomizer coil is two times stronger in Pure XL. The deluxe model allows you to smoke even as the product is being charged. The best safety feature in this product is the in-built lock mechanism that prevents the battery from turning on when it is not in use. The e-cig needs to be activated by pushing 3 times, similarly you need to push thrice again to deactivate it. With this great safety feature, users need not worry about their e-cigs turning on when they are not using them.
Vapor/Flavors
Their new cartridges provide the maximum production possible with each cartridge being equal to over twenty cigarettes. The Pure cig is available in flavors like Pure tobacco, Risque, Nutty, Cherry and Menthol ice; they are all absolutely delicious but the tobacco and menthol ice are particularly good. The nutty flavor is quite like the traditional cigarette and really helps those transitioning from cigarettes to the e-cig as a healthy alternative.
Overall
Pure Cig satisfies one’s cigarette addiction without producing any ashes or smoke. The batteries hold charge for a ridiculous length of time to ensure that the user does not go without a smoke due to low battery charge. A single cartridge contains vapor juice equivalent to three packs of traditional cigarettes. The Pure Cig is a comparatively new brand in the field of e-cigs and yet the finesse and quality of the product is quite amazing. Priced reasonably, even a new user will not mind paying for it, as the risk taken in payment is well made up by the amount of satisfaction to be had.
SmokeTip

First Impressions
My first impression of the SmokeTip e-cigarette was a little disappointing. The package itself is not very appealing. It’s actually pretty bland. It’s also a little large, about the size of a cigar box, so if you want to carry your SmokeTips in a purse or pocket, you are out of luck. The box does have a magnetic closure, which seemed like a convenience at first, but when I dropped it, the lid popped open. The one nice thing about the large box is that it has plenty of space for all your accessories: charger, batteries, cartomizers. It’s nice to have everything all in one place, but the whole package is definitely not portable. For first impressions, SmokeTip earns a three on a scale of one to five.
Battery/Output
The SmokeTip battery is a little bigger than a cigarette, but it did last a good four hours between charges. The battery bounced back pretty quickly, too, but to recharge it required a USB port. That meant I had to find a free connection on my computer – not something I can always do without having to shift things around. Once the battery was charging, though, it only took an hour and a half to completely recharge. That seemed pretty reasonable for the four hours of smoking time I got with each charge.
The vapor output was pretty disappointing. It took several minutes for the SmokeTip to get up to full speed, and even then the vapor was pretty minimal. Sometimes I wasn’t even sure I had inhaled anything and had to look closely to even see the vapor. That was disappointing because the movement of the vapor is a big part of the e-cigarette experience. If you’re looking for an e-cigarette which will provide a natural feel of smoke in your mouth or in the air, SmokeTip isn’t going to deliver.
Sorry, SmokeTip, for battery life and vapor output, you’ve earned another three.
Flavor
SmokeTip comes with a wide range of flavor cartomizers. This is probably the best thing about this product and almost compensated for the lack of vapor. The flavors were bright and distinctive. With the exception of Almond, I had no problem recognizing them right away. For the traditionalist, SmokeTip comes in Regular, Cowboy and Menthol. If you’re feeling more adventuresome, you can choose between Apple, Banana, Cherry, Chocolate, Cinnamon, Cloves, Coffee, Grape and a host of other flavors. Winning the award for most exotic flavor is Watermelon. You really have to try it to believe it. So, for distinctiveness and variety, SmokeTip gets a full five out of five on the rating scale for flavor.
Overall
Overall SmokeTip had both pros and cons. As I mentioned, the package is bulky but convenient if you want to store everything all in one place. The vapor output was the most disappointing aspect. If you’re smoking an e-cigarette, you definitely want to see some smoke. At times when I was using the SmokeTip, I felt like I was just sucking on a straw. The number of flavor options was nice, especially if you like flavored cigarettes, but if you want a strong, traditional tobacco flavor with a good head of vapor, SmokeTip is probably not the best choice. Overall score for SmokeTip: three out of five.
Premium Electronic Cigarette
First Impressions
The Premium Electronic Cigarette starter kit comes with six cartridges, two batteries and two different chargers: one for use with a wall outlet and the other for a USB port. The Premium e-cigarette is a little larger than a traditional tobacco cigarette, but that is common for e-cigs, and I got used to it right away. The box itself is shiny black with the Premium logo in bright green and a single cigarette across the bottom. All in all, it looks very sleek and elegant. It is a little large to carry around, but Premium has addressed this problem. They offer a pocket-sized carrying case for people who want to take the USB charger along with them. It will hold one fully assembled e-cigarette, a second battery and, of course, the USB charger. It also comes is seventeen different colors, including the glossy black of the original packaging, tabby cat, silver leaf, champagne, lilac and a really snazzy tiger print. Cool.
For giving us so many color choices in a carrying case, including sophisticated black and snazzy tiger print, Premium Electronic gets a five out of five for first impressions.
Battery/Output
The Premium Electronic’s batteries charged well and held their charge. The carrying case with the USB charger and extra battery was nice because there is no warning when the battery is running low. If you don’t want an interruption in your smoking, it’s a good idea to carry the spare battery.
One fun thing about Premium Electronic’s batteries is that they come in 14 different colors including white, black, platinum, burgundy, pink, purple, camouflage and two tones of marble. Colors are not really essential to the e-cigarette smoking experience, but I think they’re kind of fun.
The vapor output of the Premium Electronic was very satisfying. It didn’t take two or three pulls to get the vapor started like it does with some e-cigarettes, and the vapor lasted through to the last puff.
An interesting option that Premium offers its customers is the ability to customize nicotine levels. You can pick cartridges that range from no nicotine at all, all the way up to cartridges with 24 milligrams. This is a great way to step down your levels of nicotine if you are trying to cut back.
For reasonable battery life and customizable nicotine levels, Premium Electronic has earned five points out of five.
Flavor
Premium Electronic e-cigarettes come in nineteen different flavors. Most of them are pretty standard but a few stand out from the crowd, including Red Energy, Cola and Pear. The regular tobacco had a bit of a citrus taste to me, so if you’re a traditionalist, you may want to order the premium tobacco flavor. It didn’t have the fruity undertones.
I give Premium four out of five, here. They lost one point for those pesky flavor undertones.
Overall
Overall, Premium Electronic Cigarettes are a pretty decent product. For good battery life, respectable flavors and offering options that other e-cigarettes don’t have, I give them a five out of five.
V2 Cigs Reviews
Presentation/Packaging
Over the years, there has not been much change in the packaging of V2 Cigs or their presentation. However, one big change with them is that they are now branded, as they should have been long ago. All of their products have now been given a fac lift and there are great features like USB recharge capability and a charger with a long chord so you can smoke while the ecig is recharging. So, these ecigs not only look attractive but also give a totally new dimension to V2 Ecigs.
Battery/Responsiveness
Previously the looks of the product including the presentation were not very appealing. And out of frustration people craved for a normal cigarette; not a moment where one could be proud. But now, V2 seems to have given ear to their customer’s grievances regarding the quality and packaging of their products, and now the company has come out with the most responsive batteries available in the market. At first glance, it is not clear what all changes have been made because on the outside, they are the same from the looks of it. However, it seems that the hardware that is inside the box has improved. Now, not only is each puff smooth and relish worthy but the smoke-like vapor emitted after each small puff is more than satisfying.
Vapor/Flavor(s)
It is possible that the V2 Ecigs flavor has changed drastically over the previous one, as people are noting a higher quality flavor. It could also be possible that there has been some improvement in their battery segment to produce more smoke giving a feel of satisfaction and adding to the taste psychologically. V2 Ecigs are available in all the flavors that the masses love. With this abundance of flavors available, I had to stop waiting and just order myself some of these to experience ultimate satisfaction without cigarettes. So. for flavor I give a 5/5 rating.
Conclusion
The kit contains the same accessories – that too in large quantities and it still holds value for money; so no one should really be complaining on that part. Whether they have made any improvements on their new battery cannot be said in direct terms nor are any major changes visible on their notebook cig, especially the functionality part. Earlier, some upgrades seem to have been performed on the standard batteries which have been carried forth here too and if the manufacturers have truly upgraded the batteries and the (pass through) notebook cig, then the V2 improved kit will be the perfect e-cig to look out for.
When you think of the vast improvements that the V2 has undergone, especially in the last couple of months compared to its predecessor’s, one cannot help but wonder about it and probably feel overwhelmed. The battery turns out to be a quick hitter and the draw is as smooth as a hot knife through a slice of butter. It is quite comparable to any high quality e-cig available in the market. The V2 is packed with value and designed to satisfy a smoker of any kind – the casual smoker who puffs once or twice a day or the chain smoker who easily empties two packs in a single day, there is enough vapor there to satisfy any kind of a craving.
HALO G6
First Impressions
The Halo G6 basic starter kit is packaged a little differently than most e-cigarettes. It comes in a round, metal tin that looks like the ones used for scented candles or Christmas cookies. It’s a nice change from the standard flip-top box and is actually reusable. The round shape holds all the kit’s components nicely without needing extra packaging or taking up too much space. The color scheme is a pleasing and understated blue, black and gray.
The starter kit comes with all the supplies a beginner needs. It includes two batteries, a wall charger, a USB adapter, two blank cartomizers, five pre-filled cartomizers, a cartomizer carrying case and a user’s manual. The only thing that’s missing is a carrying case for the whole unit. The tin isn’t something that you can easily stuff in your suitcase or take with you to the office, so a different carrying case would be nice.
For offering a generous starter kit in a novel package, Halo has earned a four and a half out of five points from me. I took off half a point for that missing carrying case.
Battery/Output
The Halo G6 e-cig has the modern look sometimes referred to as next generation. The battery is slim and sleek and has a soft metal finish. You can choose between such fun color choices as Emerald Green, Electric Lime and Midnight Blue. You can also choose a classic white, but the cartomizers only come in black. The Halo e-cig battery also comes in two lengths: 65mm and 78mm. That’s not something most other manufacturers offer. The batteries will last you through two well-filled cartridges. That’s long enough for some people, but I had hoped for a little more staying power.
The batteries come in manual and automatic. I tried them both and got huge clouds of vapor with very little effort.
So, Halo, you get pluses for your vapor and for offering us a choice of battery lengths, but I can’t ignore that disappointing battery life. That makes your score for this category four out of five.
Flavor
Halo offers 14 flavors choices, including Malibu Menthol, Prime 15 and Tribeca. Each flavor comes in a choice of four nicotine levels. That’s not unique in itself, but Halo doesn’t offer a zero nicotine level like some of the other companies do and does offer an extra high level: 24 mg. Both of those can be either good news or bad news, depending on what you’re looking for in an e-cig.
Some of the flavors were great while some could have been improved. I really liked Prime 15 and Torque 56, for example, but Freedom Juice and Tiki both had an odd aftertaste. You might want to start with the variety pack. That way you’ll be able to see exactly which of the flavors works best for you.
Four out of five, again, Halo. I like how many options you offer, but you’ve got to work on those flavors.
Overall
Overall, Halo offers a pretty satisfying e-cig experience. The company offers several features unique to the e-cig world – a tin, different lengths, extra strong nicotine – but needs to work on its battery life and flavors. All in all, Halo has earned a solid four out of five for its overall score.
eSmoke

First Impressions
The eSmoke starter kit comes in a sleek, modern-looking package. The design is a blue and black geometric pattern overlaid with the eSmoke logo in white and orange. The kit includes everything a beginner needs to start using e-cigarettes. The basic starter kit, which is the one I tried, comes with a lithium battery, a wall charger and a USB charger. It also has five tobacco cartridges as well as a how-to booklet and a membership card with the same design and logo as the box. The instructions claim that the kit is the equivalent of eight packs of cigarettes. The box is a little clumsy, but it is sturdy. It’s not something you could easily take with you, but it neatly stores all of the eSmoke components. The cigarettes themselves felt a little larger than real tobacco cigarettes, but I quickly got used to it and didn’t notice the difference. For overall appearance, I give eSmoke four points out of five.
Battery/Output
The thing I liked most about eSmoke’s battery is the simple fact that it came, as I mentioned before, with two kinds of chargers: one for a wall outlet and one that could be used with a USB port. This gave me the freedom to charge it at any ordinary outlet as well as through my computer. It was nice to be able to charge the eSmoke without having to leave my desk. Once charged, the batteries held their charge a decent length of time.
The vapor output was not quite as dense as with other brands. It was very fine, though, a result of eSmoke’s patent-pending atomizer. Very fine vapor goes a long way toward giving an e-cigarette a natural smoke feel. eSmoke is also made in America. I don’t know about you, but that’s a big plus for me. Products that are made in America always seem to be of a higher quality than those made in China. They seem to last longer, too.
For having two charging options, a reasonable amount of vapor and being made in America, eSmoke earns another four out of five.
Flavor
This is the category where eSmoke really shines. The rich, authentic cigarette flavor of its cartridges more than makes up for the slight lack of vapor. eSmoke’s flavor choices include vanilla, menthol, chocolate, coffee, apple, strawberry and, of course, tobacco. eSmoke even offers a sampler pack, so if you don’t know which one you’ll like, you can try them all. For strong, authentic flavors and a nice assortment of choices, eSmoke gets five out of five in the flavor category.
Overall
One thing I’d like to mention that doesn’t quite fit into any of the other categories is that eSmoke comes with a thirty-day guarantee. If you’re not happy with the eSmoke within that time frame, they’ll send you your money back. That’s pretty cool. They have a limited lifetime warranty on the product, as well, so you’re protected against manufacturing defects. That’s nice, too. So, overall, for dependability, battery options, nice flavor and being made in America, eSmoke gets a four out of five.
Vapor King
Presentation & Packaging
Vapor King has launched a revolution in the history of E-cigarettes. The kit includes a battery, atomizer and an E-tank to store the liquid nicotine, also known as E-juice. Unlike the other brands of e-cigarettes that have a prefilled cartridge, this one has a tank that can be filled with flavored E-juice. This E-tank is sealed with a thin plastic wrap. All you have to do is remove the wrap, insert it into the atomizer and start puffing.
The battery attached on the other side activates the whole device. A lithium rechargeable battery, an atomizer and five e- tanks come in the kit. Though it is not much of a contrast to the existing brands, it is quite trendy. This 3-part E- cigarette kit also consists of a wall charger, user’s manual and a gift for the buyer. All these accessories come packed in a luxury carrying case with a classic touch. This kit is the perfect thing to give as a gift to friends.
Battery & Responsiveness
The battery that comes with the kit seems to be good enough to last for at least 10 hours if charged completely. However, it depends on how much you use it and how hard you puff. The best part is that with Electronic Cigarettes Inc., you have a spare battery to use when the other one is charging so no worries. With a fully charged battery, you do not have to inhale the vapor vigorously. Just a slight puff will give you the desired amount of vapor. While a few e- cigarette users reported leaking batteries, this one did not have any problem with the battery. You need not worry about the liquid in the e- tank it neither drips nor creates a mess.
Flavors
Although tobacco is the flavor most sought after, Vapor King’s Menthol is a must have. The tobacco flavor is very rich and strong. It reminds smokers of Cuban cigars, which sting the throat with their rugged taste. You get approximately 180 puffs for each filled tank, which is as good as 12 tobacco cigarettes. However, if you wish to try something beyond these two, you can purchase flavored E- juices and put them in the tanks. One thing that needs to be mentioned is that the E-tank seems to be a bit small. No matter how much you fill it, it is gone in no time.
Overall
Vapor King’s starter kits are priced as low as $54.95 and discounted price on a 5-pack e-liquid refill is only $7.95. The e- tank concept is definitely a novel idea. It is both effective and economical. You can pour the e-juice in and inhale as much as you want. Compared to the prefilled cartridges, this seems to work out economically at least for me. If you compare it to tobacco cigarettes, you will see that this is a far better option to consider. To add trend to style, you can choose from the color options offered by Vapor King. The colors available are Black, Pink, traditional white and Stainless steel.
Stog E-Cigarette
First Impressions
The Stog E-cig comes in a pure white, top-slide box that’s about as American as apple pie. The graphics are clean and fresh – a nice change from the overblown designs and bright colors found on the labels of some other brands. The small box fits easily into your hand, and all the accessories fit neatly inside it. Each item has its own felt-lined compartment, too, so everything is easy to find. There’s no jumble of cardboard dividers or smaller boxes to dig through when reaching for what you need. The user’s manual is clean and refreshing in its own way, too. The information inside is useful and presented with a sense of humor. It’s nice to be entertained while you’re being informed. Great first impression, Stog E. You’ve earned a five out of five.
Battery/Output
Simple and old fashioned seems to be the theme with Stog E, and I like that because it works well with its old fashioned-sounding name. The battery is no exception. It’s a plain and simple white decorated only with the Stog E logo. It’s also small enough to feel comfortable but still big enough to have a long life. I usually got at least three hours of use from a single charge and sometimes more, even when using it heavily. That’s pretty impressive considering its small size. It felt just like holding a real tobacco cigarette, so I would recommend it to people trying e-cigarettes for the first time. As you know, how the product feels in your hand is an important part of tricking your mind into thinking you’re smoking the real thing.
The draw on the Stog E was a little tight at first but loosened up after a few puffs. Once the vapor started, though, there was plenty of it. Also, I never had a problem with it not starting, or with it stopping mid-draw.
For having a small battery with such a long life and producing a nice cloud of vapor, I’m going to give Stog E a solid four and a half out of five.
Flavor
You can probably already tell I was pretty happy with Stog E’s performance. Now you have to ask, will it stand up to the flavor test as well? The answer is a resounding yes! Even with its prodigious vapor cloud, Stog E was able to provide deep, authentic flavors. I’ve tried quite a variety of e-liquids, flavored cartomizers and other e-cigarettes, and this is hands-down the best of them. Stog E comes in three very straightforward, traditional flavors. They include Mellow, Bold and Menthol. All of them had a true tobacco flavor. The flavor was not at all like some e-cigarettes that tease you with just a hint of over-sweet tobacco. The Mellow flavor had the light, sweet undertones of a high-quality Turkish cigarette. The Menthol was a real hit with me, too. Good job on flavors, Stog E! I’d give you a six if I had six points to give.
Overall
You know what I’m going to say here, don’t you? The Stog E-cig is a great product. Other than the minor problem of the slow vapor start, there are really no problems at all. Stog E has earned a resounding five out of five as an overall score.
ProSmoke
First Impressions
The ProSmoke Starter Kit comes, like most e-cigarettes these days, in a flip-top box with a magnetic closure. The box design is simple enough but very appealing. It is dark gray with light gray smoke swirled across it and the ProSmoke name in aqua blue. You have to pick a flavor when ordering the kit, and the different flavors each have their own decor.
The e-cigarette itself is sleek and elegant and comes with a blue LED light. It looks good and has a realistic feel. The unit is the three-piece kind, consisting of a battery, cartridge and atomizer. Unfortunately, having only one atomizer can cause flavor residue to build up in the unit with each use. That’s not a problem if you’re only using one flavor like I did, but if you order the sampler pack, using the different flavors could muddy the taste eventually.
For having a simple, appealing design and a sleek, light-weight product but only including one atomizer in its starter kit, ProSmoke gets four out of five for its first impression.
Battery/Output
The battery size and shape is one of the best things about this ecig. I’ve always felt that the mini-ecigs have the most realistic feel in my hand. ProSmoke has one of the lightest and smallest batteries of all the products I have tried. Despite its small size, however, the ProSmoke is remarkably responsive and produces generous amounts of vapor.
The small size does have a downside, however: its battery life is pretty low. When the battery was freshly charged, the vapor really flowed, but to keep it flowing, I had to change the battery pretty frequently. Some people might think that’s a fair trade-off for the small size, but if they want to smoke whenever they want to, they had better plan on always keeping a charger on hand
For having both the pros and cons of a small, light-weight battery, ProSmoke gets a three out of five from me in this category.
Flavor
Sometimes it’s hard to separate flavor and vapor production when you’re accessing an e-cig. ProSmoke uses vegetable glycerin in its cartridges to increase vapor output. While ProSmoke does make tons of vapor, the throat hit is much less than with products that use propylene glycol (PG) for the same purpose. If you like a smooth smoke, then this won’t be a problem for you. If you’re expecting a decent throat hit, then you’ll be disappointed.
The flavors themselves are also a little bland. This is because of the vegetable glycerin as well. It usually doesn’t taste as sweet or as flavorful as products made with PG. However, some people are allergic to PG. ProSmoke is the perfect e-cigarette for them.
So, for having those slightly bland flavors and for lacking a throat hit, three out of five.
Overall
Overall, I’m going to give ProSmoke a four. While the product definitely won’t please everyone, those who like a small, light e-cig with a mild flavor and don’t mind babysitting their batteries a little, will probably be quite pleased.
Cigarti
Presentation/Packaging
If you are looking for a personalized smoking experience, nothing matches the quality of Cigarti e-cigarettes. Besides the attractive looking skins, you have a choice of kits for starters or deluxe kits. The case is made of a leathery material. The black pouch has compartments to hold cartridges and accessories. The mini kit consists of two e-cigarettes with a battery and atomizer. The kit also includes a USB charger, manual for the starters, battery, extra cartridges and a Cigarti membership card. Every cartridge has an in-built atomizer that can be disposed of after usage. Each cartridge offers you around 300-330 puffs – equal to two packets of original cigarettes.
It is compact and easy to carry. You can hook it to your work desk and in fact, a clip on its side allows the device to be fixed to almost anything. The other side of the kit has a huge Cigarti logo embedded on it. Though the kit looks perfectly fine and potable, there is just a single compartment to store an extra cartridge; so the kit is perfect if you do not consider that factor a major problem. The 5-cartridge pack looks like a strip of medicine. Just take out one of them and use when required.
Battery/Responsiveness
A fully charged battery, offered with the kit, lasts for more than half a day and it is rechargeable. The strength of the battery is good enough to produce strong vapor. You have an indicator on the battery charger that turns red when it is switched on. However, what is disappointing is that you see a green light on it before the battery is charged completely. So, either charge it longer or keep an extra battery in case the other one dies.
Vapor/Flavor(s)
A good thing for those who love variety is the flavors of Cigarti cartridges. Smoke while you enjoy the taste of strawberry, chocolate, original and mint. Passionate smokers would definitely go for the original flavor, but those who are not addicted to cigarette smoke can certainly try out other options. Strawberry has that sweet and tart kind of taste while the mint leaves a cool menthol effect in your mouth and the chocolate taste is not very strong. The vapors are not too strong but the puffs should satisfy those trying to quit smoking.
Overall
Cigarti electric cigarettes are portable and small. Though the battery seems to be faulty, you can stay assured of smokeless smoking with the kits. Bad breath, smelly rooms and irritated partners are no more when you smoke e-cigarettes. Well what more can one expect from an artificial vapor-emitting device that allows you to feel the same sensation offered by a real tobacco cigarette. The mini starter kits start at $34.99 whereas the deluxe kits tailored for veteran smokers are priced at $89.99.
The kit comes with a car charger and a wall charger. The 4 flavors- menthol, coffee, cherry and regular give you a bit of a variety. The starter kit is priced from $59.99 to $199.99. A pack of 5 cartridges costs $9.99 and a pack of 50 cartridges costs $79.99. You can also get cartridges with high, medium or low nicotine content. Luci is an OK choice but compared to the quality of other brands, it is a bit lacking in quality and design.
